After 6 years of implementing Binh Duong provincial Week for Young Workers and 2 years of holding Vietnam Month for Workers with many plentiful and various activities, these two programs have thus far become festive days of young workers.
The free health check-up and medicine offering for young
workers was held at the 7th provincial week for young workers.
Over the past 6 years, the Week for Young Workers has been held with many activities meeting young workers’ demand on recreation. These activities include fun market day, young workers’ festive day, job fair, “Lighting young workers’ dream and honoring good young workers” program and so on. Especially, Fund for poor immigrant young workers granted nearly VND872mil to 518 needy youths. In addition, youth union at districts, townships and city in cooperation with units held many healthy activities and playgrounds such as sport festivals, Karaoke singing contest, cooking contest, music show and among others for young workers.
Based on the provincial People’s Committee’s plans on launching implementation of Vietnam Month for Young Workers and the 7th Binh Duong provincial Young Workers Week 2014, the provincial Youth Union will cooperate with relevant sectors to mobilize at least 200 enterprises to join in chains of activities held in the Vietnam Month for Young Workers and Week for Young Workers; to call upon businesses and donors to contribute to the Fund for poor immigrant young workers; to grant at least 30 assistance portions to needy immigrant young workers. Besides, the provincial youth union will open free classes on IT universalization for at least 200 youths, unionists and young workers at businesses, lodging house areas, dormitories and so on.
Implementing this plan, the provincial Youth Union has received sponsor of companies and units to take care of young workers. Typically, Empire Cinema donated 2,000 film tickets to youths and young workers living and working in Binh Duong and 20 gifts to needy young workers. Meanwhile, Vinatexmart My Phuoc 2 implemented the program of “original price shop” to sell essential products to youths and young workers. Or, An Thanh Motor Co.Ltd. organized the free training program on safe motor driving and motor driving test for youths and unionists.
