Two months after starting volunteer work in the summer, members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and students nationwide have organised 377 humanitarian blood donation campaigns; attracting 51,500 people and collecting 33,849 units of blood.

Nhandan newspaper reported that the volunteers have already organised summer activities for over 1.5 million children, while also mobilising resources to build 53 houses worth VND 2.3 billion for remote and disadvantaged pupils.
In addition, 3,560 young doctors have given free medical checks-up and medicine worth VND 2.5 billion to over 68,000 people across 63 provinces and cities over the country.
The youth group has also worked with agencies to spend VND 2.8 billion building 97 houses and upgrading 421 houses for the poor and beneficiaries’ families. Volunteers have also helped repair 108 kilometres of rural roads, use VND 7.5 billion to build 30 rural bridges and organized 74 classes on the transfer of technologies to 4,400 young people./.
