*200 Youth Union members mobilized to give blood
In response to the Youth Month 2016 themed “Green environment”, TDM city’s Youth Union, on Mar.12, launched a youth work on “Civilized alleys” with the slogan of “Joining hands to build up a civilized, prosperous and modern TDM city.
More than 100 Youth Union members from 14 wards in the city got took part in cleaning alleys in Phu Cuong ward’s quarter 1 with a total length of more than 1,000 meters.
It is known that during the Youth Month, the city’s Youth Union will focus on environmental protection activities via “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary Saturday” campaigns, aiming to uphold the voluntary role of young people for the sake of the community.
*The same day, Thuan An town’s Youth Union also launched a youth work on “Civilized youth roads, canals” for 2016-2018 period.
More than 250 Youth Union members got involved in many significant activities such as cleaning main streets in the central area of the town; eradicating illegal advertising boards; mobilizing households, State agencies and business facilities to join hands in environmental protection…
After the launching ceremony, the branches of the town’s Youth Union will continue registering to tidy up roads, canals, alleys across the town. As of late Oct.2016, the town’s Youth Union will assess all results done by its branches during the Youth Month.
*Early Mar.11, provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union Executive Committee in collaboration with Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology-Blood Transfusion Center in HCM city held a program on voluntary blood donation with the message of “Blood donation saves lives-a noble deed”.
More than 200 Youth Union officials and members registered to give blood. As a result, the organizers received 156 units of blood, equivalent to 54,600 milliliters of blood.
