Talking to reporter of Binh Duong Newspaper about the role and responsibility of local youths in building Binh Duong towards a smart city, Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Deputy Secretary of the Binh Duong Youth League informed that youth organizations at all levels and young people in the province need to have concrete action movements, responsible and effective participation in the appropriate work.

Reporter: Madam, it is known that the mission and the movements of children and youths in 2017-2022 term of Binh Duong Provincial Youth League will promote the spirit of volunteer and creativity of youth in all fields, contributing to building Binh Duong as a smart city. What are the solutions that the Standing Committee of the league to achieve this goal?
Tran Thi Diem Trinh: The 10th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League has identified three key tasks in 2017-2022 term: to strengthen the quality and development of the contingent of cadres at all levels, incumbent and inherited from the base; to diversify the modes of unity, gather and care for the youth, especially the young workers in the residential areas, social houses and enterprises; to continue to closely coordinate with agencies, units, connect resources; to promote the spirit of volunteering and creativity of the youth in all domains, focusing on building a cultural lifestyle, urban civilization and raising the quality of the new rural areas.
By the orientation of the provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of provincial Youth’s League builds dissemination measures for the project of "Smart City - Binh Duong to 2020" such as organizing conferences, introducing projects to cadres, youth unionists, laborers and people of all strata; frequently posting information on websites, newsletters, group activity documents of each unit; organizing contests, forums and dialogues on the role of youth’s league members in participating in the project in the coming years; organizing study tours to new economic models applying science and technology. In addition, the provincial Youth League also paid attention to the group of solutions to build the professional staff of the delegation. In particular, the propaganda and organization of international integration activities, the expansion of cultural exchanges with countries in and outside the region are the solutions that the provincial Youth League is paying attention to and implement with high efficiency.
Reporter: The construction of Binh Duong Smart City is attached to State-school-enterprise cooperation. So, what the bond has been established by Youth’s League and departments to support this cooperation?
Tran Thi Diem Trinh: The Standing Committee of the provincial Youth League identified the important role in building the new generation of Binh Duong youngsters to meet the above requirements by organizing activities of association and coordination between Binh Duong provincial Youth Union departments. Accordingly, as a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the provincial Youth League always actively and effectively coordinates and implements joint programs and resolutions with the authorities, departments, and unions in to educate, foster, care and promote the role of youth; mobilize youth union members to participate in socio-economic development in the locality. For the students, the provincial Youth League Standing Committee continued to implement the regulations on coordination and joint programs with the Department of Education and Training in training and fostering for its staffs in schools; the team equips students with the necessary skills to support learning and extracurricular activities and care for education of teens and children. As toward enterprises, this is concretized in the plan of the provincial Youth League Standing Committee to implement the Program No. 16 CT/TU on "Building and developing the Party organization and the project of "Uniting the youth union workers", which the provincial Standing Committee assigns to its Standing Board to work as permanent link, contributing to the close relationship between enterprises - workers, enterprises - Youth League, and Youth Union.
Reporter: Each Youth’s League member in the province needs to affirm its role in what ways to construct Binh Duong as a smart city?
Tran Thi Diem Trinh: The provincial Youth League has also recognized the challenges facing youth in the new development process. This requires the Youth Union at all levels and young people in the province to take concrete action-specific movements, participate responsibly and effectively in appropriate areas, especially in coordination with all levels. It is concerned with the education and training of young people to become smart citizens of a smart city in the future. Young people must actively pick up the necessary things and train themselves to meet the increasing requirements to catch up the development of society, building Binh Duong young people in the new stage of brilliant minds and ambition
