Pham Van Dai and Tran Thi Bich Quyen have one idea in common that they want to dedicate their youth to homeland. By knowledge and experiences accumulated from universities, they turn Binh Thang commune’s youth league activities into a strongly developed movement.
In the 10th grade, Dai was an outstanding unionist of Nguyen Huu Huan high school in HCMC’s Thu Duc district. Aside from efforts of learning, he engaged in activities of the school social team. With the initial outdoor skills, he rapidly became a member of the HCMC University of Forestry and Agriculture-based Tech-biology department’s youth union executive board. He was one of students leading in the university activities. He and other members constantly held collections to offer music performances to the poor in Mekong delta provinces and scholarships for poor students as well as organized numerous other social activities.
Dai worked for Guymarech Cattle Food Company with a high income after graduation. But he has returned to dedicate youth to his native land.
Meanwhile, Bich Quyen involved in youth union activities as she was a student of Thu Duc intermediate school of business accountancy. She constantly joined in volunteer summer campaigns in Central Highlands region with significant deeds of helping poor ethnic people repair houses, make roads and so on.
After graduation, she became a secretary of Nha Be Garment Company-based Binh Thang factory youth union. She helped the factory youth union activities become stronger in quality and quantity. She offered useful playgrounds for workers. However, with a wish of dedicating to homeland, she has worked for Di An district’s Binh Thang commune youth union.
Now, Dai and Quyen are crucial leaders of the commune youth union. Accordingly, Dai is a secretary of the commune youth union whilst Quyen is vice secretary.
They have offered countless useful playgrounds for the communal youths with concrete deeds of music performances, sports, football matches and so on. The significant activities have attracted the participation of numerous local youths and unionists.
