Early December 28, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society held a “zero dong” market-day for the local people and workers with difficult circumstances.
At the humanitarian event, more than 300 people and workers affected by Covid-19 pandemic received gifts worth more than VND500,000 each, including face masks, soy sauce, fish sauce, cakes, eggs, cooking oil, milk, cash... The total cost of organizing the event is nearly VND160 million, funded by donors and enterprises.
The organization of the “zero dong” market-day aimed to show the spirit of responsibility, unity and cooperation with the Party and government to take care of the lives of people, especially those with difficult circumstances, thereby sharing difficulties with them in life.
