Inspections on waterway traffic maintained

Morning of March 3, Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to launch government’s Decree No. 169/2007/ND-CP dated January 19, 2007 on mobilization of scientific and technological resources for public security-related work; however, The mobilization of scientific and technological resources for public security-related work in case of emergency state pronounced by the State is not governed by this Decree.
Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung calls for identification of landslide causes along Dong Nai River banks to resolve risks
During a working session with Tan Uyen District People’s Committee and consultancy unit of Thuy Loi (Irrigation) University, Chairman Le Thanh Cung called for solution to landslide by identifying the causes. Before hand, the PPC has not agreed with measures proposed by investing units. The proposal to construct embarkments of 1,850m for Dong Nai River banks from Rach Tre Bridge to office of Tan Uyen Party Committee will cost up to VND 300 billion; however, presentation of causes is not convincing. Thus, investing unit is allowed construct embarkments in the most risky areas. The PPC also demanded Tan Uyen District to come up with plans to reallocate households in the area to safer place.
Get-together for outstanding blind women held
On the 101st anniversary of the International Women’s Day, provincial Society for the Blind, on March 4, held a get-together for outstanding female officials and members, reviewed the activities of its board for blind women’s affairs and devised orientations for 2011.
Loved arms from charity houses
