Midea Group (China) learns about investment expansion in Binh Duong

On the afternoon of May 14, Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee hosted a meeting with Yu Zhi Min, Director of Midea Group (China), who visited to learn about investment opportunities in Binh Duong province.

An overview of the meeting

During the meeting, Mr. Yu Zhi Min shared that Midea Group is one of the leading corporations in the home appliance industry in China. The group's first overseas factory was established in the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP 1) in 2007. Subsequently, Midea built a second factory in the My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park in Ben Cat city.

Over the past years, Midea's factories in Binh Duong have operated efficiently and experienced robust growth. In 2024, revenue increased by more than 50% compared to 2023. The group has highly appreciated Binh Duong’s infrastructure development and investment attraction policies. As a result, Midea is eager to learn about opportunities to expand its manufacturing operations in the province.

Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee congratulated Midea Group on its successful business and production results. He also shared that in order to facilitate smooth and effective business operations for enterprises, Binh Duong has invested heavily in improving its road, expressway, railway and river port systems to enhance regional connectivity and support the transportation of goods to airports and seaports.

In addition to the existing IPs, the province is also developing new-generation IPs focused on ecological sustainability, high technology, specialized industries and scientific and technological zones. Mr.Tri affirmed that with its inherent advantages, Binh Duong is always ready to create favorable conditions for enterprises to learn, invest and operate efficiently.
