On September 20, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son signed the Decision No. 101/QD-TTg issuing the list of key energy-consuming facilities for 2023. Accordingly, the total number of key energy-consuming facilities nationwide for 2023 is 3,491, including 2,864 industrial facilities, 18 agricultural production facilities, 70 transport units and 539 construction works.

Binh Duong is one of the country’s industrial production hubs and has the highest number of key energy-consuming facilities nationwide, with 334 such facilities. Energy conservation and the fight against energy waste, in line with sustainable development goals, are practical solutions that help improve the efficiency of the economy while contributing to the preservation of national energy resources. Therefore, the efficient and sustainable use of energy is an issue that is always of great concern to various sectors.

Under provincial DoIT’s instructions regarding training for key energy-consuming facilities in the province, provincial Trade and Industrial Promotion Center, in collaboration with Bach Khoa Energy Saving Joint Stock Company, organized the 2024 "Energy Manager Training Course" for key energy-consuming facilities in the province. The training course took place over 5 days, from November 12 to November 16, 2024.
