Harnessing Artificial Intelligence 

Journalist Trinh Binh, affiliated with Nhan Dan Newspaper and residing in Binh Duong, emphasized that in the digital era marked by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, journalism must evolve to maintain both speed and accuracy. Furthermore, amid the proliferation of misinformation on social media, the responsibility of journalists to uphold accuracy, fairness, and societal accountability is increasingly critical. AI has the capacity to generate and disseminate false news across social networks, necessitating that journalists actively filter and address misinformation, particularly erroneous and hostile narratives.

In addition, journalist Trinh Binh asserts that in the digital landscape, journalists must swiftly evaluate and deliver targeted content to readers with precision.

Journalist Le Tam Trang, affiliated with Binh Duong Newspaper, asserts that contemporary journalists must proficiently navigate AI technology to not only endure but also thrive. However, it is crucial to recognize that AI serves merely as a tool; journalists should leverage AI to enhance their work within the digital landscape.

Human remains the focal point

Technician Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, employed at Binh Duong Newspaper, stated that AI can assist us in numerous ways today. However, AI remains merely a tool capable of executing technical tasks; certain jobs and skills are exclusively within the human domain.

However, in response to the demands of developing new content formats, journalists must enhance their knowledge to effectively understand, utilize, and leverage AI in their work. Additionally, it is essential to master the integration of text with images, videos, interactive graphics, podcasts, and short videos to produce multimedia products that cater to the diverse needs of readers, particularly young audiences on social networking platforms.

Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that in the digital and AI era, journalists must engage in continuous learning, innovation, and the comprehensive utilization of technology. Furthermore, progressive journalists are required to maintain steadfastness, uphold a strong political stance, and deliver accurate, high-quality, and reliable information to society.

To enable revolutionary journalism to effectively fulfill its role and responsibilities, it is essential for journalists to enhance their professional qualifications and skills. They must uphold and promote political courage while demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation in the digital and AI age, ensuring that revolutionary journalism evolves in tandem with the nation's growth and prosperity.

According to the findings of the assessment and evaluation of the maturity level of digital transformation within the press for 2024, as announced by the Press Department, the agencies achieving outstanding results comprise 10 entities from the Central press sector, 10 from the local press sector, and 10 from the radio and television sector. Agencies attaining commendable results include 9 from the Central press sector, 25 from the local press sector—among which Binh Duong Newspaper is ranked 10th—7 from the magazine sector, and 19 from the radio and television sector. The Press Department based these results on five key pillars: Strategy; digital infrastructure, digital platforms, and information security; organizational and professional uniformity; readership, audience, and listenership; and the level of digital technology application.
