On the afternoon of June 23, Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU) held a get-together to celebrate its 16th anniversary (June 24, 2009 – June 24, 2025). The event was attended by representatives of provincial departments and sectors, along with a large number of staff, lecturers, students and former university leaders over different periods.
From its early days facing many challenges in terms of material facilities, over the past 16 years of construction and development, TDMC has gradually established itself as a multidisciplinary, multi-field educational and training institution, offering academic programs from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. Currently, the university provides 52 undergraduate programs, 12 master’s programs and 1 doctoral program. As of now, 20 academic programs have been accredited by the MOET (Ministry of Education and Training) and 8 programs have met AUN-QA standards. Remarkably, in 2025, the university ranked 28th out of 53 higher education institutions in Vietnam under the Scimago Institutions Rankings. Notably, the university’s Mathematics program was ranked among the Top 5 leading universities in Vietnam in this field under the Scimago Institutions Rankings.
On this occasion, TDMU honored individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in activities organized by the Trade Union, Youth Union and Students Association as well as in scientific research awards, student Olympiads, startup idea competitions...
