Early April 1, Binh Duong Provincial Labor Union summoned direct senior grassroots labor unions and some labor unions of large amount of factory workers to inform of some new features of the Social Insurance Law 2014 while listening to contributions of all-level labor unions regarding the new features, particularly the Article 60 of the law.
At the conference, representatives of all-level labor unions asserted that Social Insurance Law 2014 coming into force on January 01, 2016 should be too urging against the general psychology of factory workers. Meantime, no circulars and decrees are available, making it very risky for emergence of strikes. Concurrently, the ruling on not to offer one-time allowances to the employees is unreasonably established; thus, changes should be considered.
Addressing the conference, Mr. Le Thanh Nhon, Chair of Binh Duong Provincial Labor Union affirmed of long-term social welfare for the employees supported by the one-time social insurance policy of the amended Social Insurance Law. Therefore, all-level labor unions should elaborate thoroughly to the employees. However, the Law should not be issued at the time of no guiding circulars and decrees of the government. The executive body of Binh Duong Provincial Labor Union will compile all-level opinions to report to higher authority.
