According to a report by the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Binh Duong took the lead in FDI attraction in the first four months of 2012. Japan has so far emerged as Vietnam’s biggest foreign investor, occupying more than 67% of the country’s total registered foreign capital. Currently, there are many large-scale Japanese-invested projects flowing into Binh Duong.

 This means Vietnam will be Australia’s fifth largest bilateral recipient of development assistance, the media release says.

Thanh Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company officially put Thanh Phuoc Port into operation today, May 9. The operation of the inland river port is of great significant and creates favorable conditions for the goods transport of enterprises operating in Binh Duong and in the vinicity.

Nguyen Van Huu, vice director of the provincial Department of Trade and Industry cum vice head of the provincial steering board of electricity thrift program, said “We have done things relating to electricity thrift and launched guidance of implementing power thrift in state agencies and families as well as set up lists of key electricity using facilities… but saved power output remains low”.

 PM Dung and cabinet members said the socio-economic status in the reviewed period saw positive changes, showing the efficiency of measures to curb inflation and stabilize the macro-economy.

Price remains stable

One of the possibilities under consideration is either helping businesses iron out snags or letting weak enterprises dissolve themselves within the market rules.

Nguyen Hoang Minh, General Director of Thanh Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company said that Thanh Phuoc Port of phase 1 in Tan Uyen district will be officially put into operation on May 9 ahead.
