From July 10, Decree No. 55/2021/ND-CP of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in environmental protection field will take effect. Accordingly, this decree clearly states the level and framework of administrative sanctions for enterprises that do not have plans to improve and restore the environment, the heaviest fine is up to 200 million VND.
A representative of provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that the department had actively informed businesses about the amended and supplemented contents according to the Government's decree. From July 10, Department of Natural Resources and Environment will direct functional departments and branches to conduct inspection and examination to ensure that businesses comply with the law and join hands to protect the environment.
