Innovation associated with the "three- party" cooperation
The "three-house" cooperation model has been the guiding principle in the development strategy of Binh Duong smart city since 2016. Binh Duong has reaped encouraging results from this strategy. In particular, Becamex Corporation, as an industrial ecosystem developer, has taken the lead in building a high-quality human resource training platform, while developing shared facilities for training, research and development, and supporting businesses at Eastern International University. This foundation is crucial for fostering connections between institutions, schools, and businesses, creating favorable conditions for the sustainable development of human resources in enterprises.
Mr. Giang Quoc Dung, Deputy General Director of Becamex IDC, said that Becamex's new-generation industrial ecosystem is built with dual goals. This strategic connectivity makes it a highly attractive site for a regional science and technology center.
As one of Binh Duong's leading enterprises, pioneering in building an innovation ecosystem associated with the successful "three-house" cooperation model, Becamex IDC is advising the province in forming a science center according to international standards with the mission of nurturing the passion for science and technology for the young generation. Over time, Becamex IDC and Binh Duong province have built a strong foundation for innovation that will support future development. A notable example is the establishment of the 4.0 Innovation Center in Binh Duong, created through collaboration between Vietnamese partners—Becamex IDC Corporation, VSIP Industrial Park Joint Venture, and Eastern International University—and Singaporean partners, including Singapore Polytechnic and the Industry 4.0 Transformation Alliance.
The center will feature laboratories and equipment designed to provide innovators and businesses with the necessary tools for research and innovation, eliminating the need for significant personal investment, while aiming to help manufacturing businesses improve and innovate right on existing machinery and production lines to increase management efficiency and labor productivity, creating more added value. The event is a testament to the efforts and support of Binh Duong province, Becamex IDC and partners for the startup and innovation community in Vietnam in the journey of industrial transformation 4.0.
Promote connection and cooperation between "three parties"
In the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution and strong global integration, with the vision of becoming one of the leading industrial and smart urban centers in Vietnam, Binh Duong constantly promotes cooperation with domestic and international partners, investing in research and development (R&D). Binh Duong considers this a key strategic step to improve competitiveness and promote sustainable development.
Becamex IDC has proactively connected and cooperated with international partners such as Singapore Polytechnic, National University of Singapore, FraunhoferENAS Research Institute, Advanced Remanufacturing Center (ARTC) of A*STAR - Singapore Agency for Science and Technology. This cooperation aims to deploy world-class scientific and technological research activities in Vietnam and gradually improve the capacity of the domestic institute and school system.
According to Mr. Giang Quoc Dung, to implement these goals, Becamex IDC is in the process of establishing an International Advisory Council, with the participation of leaders from leading Singaporean science and technology agencies, multinational technology corporations and leading experts.
