Phu Giao opens 40 vocational-oriented classes for rural laborers
In the first half of this year, Phu Giao district considered and disbursed over VND6.6bln in loan for 300 poor households to develop homebased business; organized 40 vocational-oriented classes for rural laborers and demobees; verified and disbursed VND650mln in loan from the Program 120 for 33 projects; introduced jobs at district-based companies for 567 laborers.

One more charity address for the poor
Early June 27, Hoi Khanh pagoda provided free medical check-ups and medicine for 400 poor patients in TDM town, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen districts. The charity program was co-held by doctors from provincial General Hospital, Hung Vuong Hospital in HCM city and provincial Businesswomen’s Club.
Gifts given for lonely disable seniors
Vietcombank’s Binh Duong Branch (Vietcombank Binh Duong), on June 26, visited and presented 82 gifts to elderly people at provincial Center for Lonely, Disabled and Elderly People on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28.
Taiwan Business Association donates 1,100 gifts to the poor
Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalid and Social Affairs has just allocated 1,100 gifts, including rice, seasoning power, cooking oil, instant noodle and soya-sauce to Di An district and other districts with the high ratio of poor households in the province (Dau Tieng, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen and Phu Giao). The total cost of these gifts is estimated at VND150mln, funded by province-based Taiwan Business Association.

Over 200 hi-unity houses given to the poor
Since the start of this year, the province has mobilized businesses to grant 209 hi-unity houses to the poor, to repair 17 gratitude houses to privileged families with the total value of nearly VND6bil.

Gifts given for the poor in Gia Lai
On June 22 and 24, provincial Red Cross Society and its Volunteers’ Club visited and presented 200 gifts worth VND300,000 each, including rice, instant noodle, clothes… and money, to needy people in Krong-Pa district’s la-Rsai commune in Gia Lai province.
Di An offers 105 legal bookcases in service of people
In service of people’s reference, Di an district has so far used 105 legal bookcases of over 7,000 book titles effectively. Countless people and staff visit the bookcases to learn about fields of land, contract, complain and so on.

The provincial Women Union on June 25 held a conference to honor typical families on the occasion of the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28). Attending the conference were 50 typical families and 7 clubs of Happy Family across localities. At the conference, the women union reported subject on building a happy, equal and advanced family. Reps of clubs shared secrets of building a happy family.

Meeting with typical cultural families
Tung and Dung’s family perform music items at the provincial Family Festival. With achievements on economic development and cultural life building, over the past 3 years couple Nguyen Trung Xuan and Nguyen Thi Rang’s family in Binh Nham commune in Thuan An district has won the title of typical cultural family. To build a cultural family, they defined that it is necessary to have a stable economic life. Rang is a primary teacher whilst her husband works as a head of hamlet cum lorry driver.
Boy battles with innate heart disease
A two year old boy is struggling with innate heart disease but is unlikely to receive medical care as the costs are prohibitive. Born in 2008, Trinh Nguyen Thanh Nhan has suffered from heart disease since birth.
