Early April 20, Ministry of Science and Technology announced the National Quality Award and Asia Pacific International Quality Award 2019-2020. The Award is the highest in legal system regarding quality and cargoes presented by the Prime Minister.
Off 116 enterprises honored this time, specifically for 2019, 61 enterprises were awarded and 55 in 2020. The National Quality Award belongs to Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) of Asia Pacific Quality Organization, Inc. Ministry of Science and Technology is the agency assigned by the government to organize the award annually under implementation of General Department of Standards and Quality.
The Award is formed and developed from the Vietnam Quality Award implemented by Ministry of Science and Technology since 1995, according to the provisions of the Law on Product and Goods Quality. Over the past 25 years, 2,030 enterprises have received the Award, bringing prestige and helping them improve the quality of products, services, competitiveness and operational efficiency in the process of integration to the regional economy and the world.
As for Binh Duong province, 4 enterprises were honored to receive national quality awards, of which Esquel Garmet Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. received the National Quality Gold Award; 3 companies including Southern Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company, Cuong Phat Company Limited, CIC 39 Joint Stock Company received the National Quality Award.
It is known that to receive the award, businesses need to meet 7 criteria which are scored totally 1,000 points. Specifically, the criteria include leadership role (120 points), strategic planning (85 points), customer and market orientation (85 points), knowledge measurement, analysis and management (90 points), human resource management and development (85 points), process management (85 points), and performance results (450 points).
