On October 4, at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, the Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to provide information on the socio-economic situation over the first nine months of 2022. Nguyen Tam Duong, Office Chief of Provincial People's Committee; and Le Tuan Anh, Director of Provincial Department of Information and Communications, chaired the meeting.
During the first nine months of 2022, the province's socio-economic situation continued to prosper and attained many good and comprehensive results in all fields. Out of 34 socio-economic - environmental - urban key indicators, up to now, 14/34 ones have met or exceeded the annual plan targets. As of October 3, 2022, Binh Duong province injected 7,424,627 doses of Covid-19 vaccine. The province recorded 95,250 Covid-19 infection cases; there were 27 cases of Omicron subvariants. Regarding dengue fever, as of 39th week, there were 12,560 cases of dengue fever, an increase of 99.7% over the same period in 2021; and 19 deaths... Regarding the payment of house rent support for employees according to Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, as of September 30, 8/9 localities in the province have completed.
At the press conference, some reporters asked questions concerning to the fire at An Phu karaoke parlor that killed 32 people. Colonel Tran Van Chinh said that during the investigation, there were no documents to prove the participation of local police in the An Phu karaoke business. So far, there is no official information about a death toll of more than 32.
Speaking at the press conference, Office Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tam Duong, said that the good results achieved in 9 months prove the efforts of the whole province. In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will give directions, have specific solutions, strive to fulfill 34 targets. Binh Duong always recognizes contributions of press agencies inside and outside the province; and wishes to receive more comments, opinions from press agencies for Binh Duong to develop further.
