According to a report by provincial Steering Committee 389 on further strengthening the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, in the first four months of the year, departments and sectors in the province inspected 3,025 cases in the fields in the commercial sector, detected 1,884 violations and handled 1,850 cases. The total amount of fines and arrears is more than VND 330,83 billion. Of these, VND 102.54 billion came from fines, more than VND 228.78 billion from arrears and the value of goods confiscated and forced destruction was estimated at nearly VND 5.8 billion.
It known that most violations were commercial frauds with 1,840 cases. The next was the trading of banned goods with 40 cases. The remaining cases were the acts of manufacturing and trading fake goods, infringing on intellectual property rights with 4 cases detected.
