2014 Southeastern trade and industry sector fair officially opened at Lucky Square Convention Center in Binh Duong New City on Dec. 3.

Attending the ceremony were Pham Van Canh, vice secretary of the provincial party committee, chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of Trade Promotion Bureau under the Ministry of Trade and Industry and departments and sectors as well as more than 250 delegates from provinces, cities and enterprises and thousands of people inside and outside of the province.
Typical products exhibited
After the opening ceremony, visitors enjoy products displayed at many stalls. At the stall of the provincial department of Agriculture and Rural Development, visitors pay much attention to typical rural agriculture products such as Bach Dang grapefruit of Tan Uyen town, Thanh Thuy grapefruit of Dau Tieng district, lingzhi mushroom of Dau Tieng district. Besides, agricultural products made from bamboo, rattan and water hyacinth are paid attention especially by their unique features.
Participating in this fair, people enjoy unique products of provinces such as Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Ninh Thuan and among others. While Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Kien Giang display many specialty products of fish sauce, Ca Mau introduces its specialty products of processed food.
According to the organizing board, this fair attracts participation of more than 250 enterprises with nearly 600 stalls, over 100 of which belong to 20 provinces and cities in the Southern region. Diversification helps the event become more attractive and meet demand of consumers inside and outside of the province.
Bui Thanh Hai, worker of My Phuoc ward, Ben Cat town eagerly said that he was very happy to visit this fair displayed Vietnamese numerous high quality products. This is also a playground for laborers enjoy shopping after working days.
Opportunity of product marketing
Nguyen Son, general director of Ngoc Son Python-Crocodile Trade and Investment JSC said that his company introduces many products such as handbag, belt, purse made from python and crocodile leather. Through this fair, enterprises hope to advertise their high quality products to consumers, contributing to make up success for the event.
According to Huynh Le Loc, rep of Dong Nai brick company, the company hopes to seek out many partners to develop its products and simultaneously develop trade in Binh Duong market, contributing to boost up economic development of the Southeastern region.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee said that the fair is a good opportunity for enterprises to expand cooperation relation, create value and competition of goods. The fair is a bridge between production and consumption, strengthening trade relation, cooperation exchange, investment, trademark introduction domestic market expansion and export development in the international and regional integration period. Programs at the fair are to carry out the Politburo’s instruction on spurring the mobilization of “Vietnamese gives priorities to use Vietnamese goods” in the period of 2014-2020 at the Southern region.
