A ceremony to close the 2016 southern expo in typical rural industrial products will take place at TDM city-based Thanh Le cultural park today, August 2.
A wide range of products
Running from July 27 to August 2, the expo is one of the 2016 national industrial promotion programs co-held by the Ministry of Industry-Trade and Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee to introduce achievements on industrial and home industrial development of provinces and cities in the southern region.

Visitors at the expo
According to the organizers, the expo took place very successfully over the past five days. It absorbed a large number of visitors and there were a lot of agreements on business cooperation and sci-tech transfer between enterprises and localities in the region signed.
Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Director of the Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center under provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that this year’s expo absorbed over 80 enterprises from 20 provinces and cities in the southern region with 450 booths and welcomed more than 20,000 visitors. Noticeably, there was a diversification of products at the expo, including materials for agro-forestry and fisheries, consumer goods, handicrafts…The expo’s section for typical rural industrial products also attracted numerous visitors with order and security situation ensured.
Most visitors felt very satisfactory with the organization and serve of the expo. Tran Thi Phuong in Dong Nai province’s Bien Hoa city said that after visiting booth at the expo, she realized that most products are packaged carefully with clear trademarks and telephone numbers for contact. This was also a chance for customers to get access to genuine products.
Hallmark of the host
According to the organizers, this year’s expo was a chance for participating enterprises to make trade exchange and promote their trademarks, thereby helping raise their quality of products and stimulate the market demand. It also attached special importance to expanding business cooperation between sectors and localities nationwide; simultaneously made coherence among enterprises for better development, raising their production capacity, competiveness in the process of international integration at present.
According to Huynh Van Ganh, Director of Kien Giang provincial Department of Industry and Trade, this was not only a chance for businesses to promote their products, but also a great festival for them and localities in the region to popularize their own features. Through the expo, Kien Giang province also learned experience in trade promotion and management so that the local industrial, trade and service sectors can obtain stronger development in the future.
Mrs.Duyen said that the host Binh Duong was also highly appreciated for its efforts in successfully organizing this year’s southern expo on typical industrial rural products as well as many other events during the expo. Possibly speaking, the expo left good hallmarks on visitors in and out of the province.
