2024 support plan for SMEs implemented

Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Plan No. 4895/KH-UBND supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2024. Accordingly, provincial Department of Science and Technology (DoST) has been assigned to lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to implement support measures for enterprises in the province.

Enterprises will be supported in three main fields. Particularly, they will receive consulting assistance as well as support for renting, purchasing digital transformation solutions and consulting contracts related to intellectual property and technology transfer. Small and medium-sized innovative startups will be supported with the costs of using technical facilities, incubators and co-working spaces and will receive advice on developing new products, services and creative business models. SMEs will also be supported in joining inter-sectoral clusters and value chains. Specifically, they will be offered training programs to improve their technological and production skills, advice on industrial property and technical standards, assistance with trial production procedures, testing and quality certification

To ensure the effective implementation of Plan No. 4895/KH-UBND, provincial DoST has requested relevant agencies and units to disseminate information of the support measures to SMEs within their jurisdiction. This is to encourage these enterprises in need to register for the program by directly contacting provincial DoST. Relevant agencies are also required to compile and provide information about the SMEs in sectors managed by local authorities that wish to register for participation in the provincial support plan and submit it to provincial Department of Science and Technology. Registration details, along with a compiled and proposed list of SMEs should be sent to the Technology Management and Innovation Division of provincial Department of Science and Technology before October 20, 2024 at
Floor 11, Tower A, provincial Intergated Administration Center, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province. Phone: 02743.898253 or 0933.502.567 (Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho Mong).
