A war invalid is good at production

Initial days of difficulty

We visited war invalid Le Khac Ngoc’s production model while he was busying to take care of his rubber plantation. Despite rainy days, he still takes care of every rubber tree. “A strong person can carry a pesticide sprayer with full of water but I only can carry it with a half of water, so it takes much time”, he said.

Born in the Northern province of Thanh Hoa, Ngoc implemented an international mission at Cambodia in 1979 and returned his homeland in 1982 with health situation of over 40%.

In 1992, he removed his homeland to arrive at Song Be province (Binh Duong today) for a new living. Despite initial difficulties, he had to work by his labor.

Success on new homeland

At that time, he encouraged his wife and children to attach to Tan Lon land as their second homeland. Over the past 10 years, he has gradually turned uncultivated land of yore into an immense rubber plantation.

At present, Ngoc has possessed an over 7-ha rubber plantation and some fish ponds. With these assets, he has built a big house with full of conveniences. Ngoc has annually reaped more than VND300mil from his rubber plantation.

Though enjoying a comfortable life, he has continued working by his labor. He revealed “On every July 27, I often thinks of my sacrificed teammates and determines to live deservedly with their sacrifice. I am also grateful to all level authorities for facilitating war invalids’ wealth making”.

In addition, Ngoc has joined positively in social activities by helping needy farmers enjoy low interest rate loans and his real experiences.
