Site clearance for essential transportation projects, such as the Ho Chi Minh Road and the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, is currently in progress, facilitating infrastructure development.

Contributing to the overall economic development of Bau Bang, Lai Hung commune has experienced notable improvements. Trade and service activities within the commune are stable, effectively meeting the needs of the residents. Notably, Lai Hung boasts three establishments offering 18 3-star OCOP products, highlighting its potential for high-quality agricultural advancement. Class 3 markets and individual enterprises invigorate the commune's commercial landscape. In the agricultural sector, Lai Hung maintains stability, with no significant losses reported. The model of mud-free eel farming cooperatives operates efficiently, enhancing the income of local residents. Attention is given to the management of natural resources and the environment, ensuring cleanliness and order within the area.

Lai Hung commune is diligently working to fulfill the necessary criteria and aims to attain the designation of a model new rural commune by 2025. Leaders of Lai Hung commune have expressed that, given the recent achievements in economic development and rural construction, the commune is making consistent strides toward this goal. The commune will persist in reviewing and refining the criteria, prioritizing the development of OCOP products, enhancing the quality of life for its residents, and cultivating a civilized and modern rural landscape.

Sustained growth momentum

With promising results, Bau Bang district has established specific objectives and tasks for the second quarter of 2025, maintaining the momentum of economic growth and striving to achieve the targets set for the entire year.

Recently, two industrial parks (IPs) have been initiated in Bau Bang district, further unlocking significant development opportunities for the locality. Notably, Cay Truong IP is situated in Lai Uyen town and Cay Truong II commune, with a vision to evolve into a new generation IP that attracts high-tech industries, is environmentally sustainable, and aligns with investment shifting trends. The project also incorporates a comprehensive social infrastructure system, which includes accommodations for experts, housing for workers, training centers, and green amenities. Additionally, the expansion of Bau Bang IP continues to progress in accordance with the model of a smart, ecological IP, integrating digital technology and renewable energy, thereby contributing to the diversification of development resources and reinforcing the district's role as an industrial hub in the region.

With the collective efforts of the political system and the consensus of the populace, Bau Bang district is making significant strides toward achieving its economic objectives for 2025. In terms of trade and services, the district actively promotes and seeks investment in promising sectors, including banking, supermarkets, markets, bookstores, educational institutions, healthcare, and various other service types.

Bau Bang District is accelerating the progress of site clearance and compensation for key projects, anticipated to generate significant momentum for the district's economic development in the near future. These initiatives encompass investments in the construction and operation of infrastructure for the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park, the section of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway traversing the district, and the segment of the Ho Chi Minh Highway from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa that runs through Bau Bang.

The leader of the Bau Bang District People's Committee has stated that the allocation of resources to expedite the completion of site clearance efforts reflects the district's commitment to establishing clean land funds, attracting investment, and executing significant infrastructure projects, thereby laying a robust foundation for sustainable economic growth. Bau Bang District aspires to maximize the efficiency of public investment capital disbursement while enhancing the inspection and enforcement of planning and construction regulations to ensure urban aesthetics and safety for residents.

In May, the economy of Bau Bang district achieved a significant milestone with the initiation of two large-scale industrial projects: Cay Truong Industrial Park (700 hectares) and the expansion of Bau Bang Industrial Park Phase 2 (380 hectares). These projects are regarded as strategic catalysts, establishing a foundation for the district's modern and sustainable industrial development in the future.
