Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, recently chaired a reception to meet with Mr. Ryan Sim, Director of Asia-Pacific and Japan Region for Advanced Micro Devices Corporation (AMD) from the USA. The delegation was also joined by leaders from various provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Mr. Ryan Sim highlighted that AMD is one of the leading technology corporations in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors. Currently, AMD has a market capitalization of approximately $200 billion and offers a strategic portfolio that includes EPYC processors, Instinct GPU accelerators, and specialized platforms for AI, high-performance computing (HPC), cloud, and edge computing. Mr. Sim expressed his admiration for Binh Duong province and expressed a desire to collaborate in areas that align with both parties' strengths and development goals, particularly in the high-tech industry and scientific research and development.

In his remarks, Mr. Bui Minh Tri noted that Binh Duong boasts an open and attractive investment environment, making it one of the top provinces in Vietnam for attracting foreign direct investment in recent years. The province's industrial development strategy prioritizes investments in high-tech industries, the semiconductor sector, green energy, sustainable economies, and circular economies. They aim for investments that are technologically advanced, environmentally friendly, less labor-intensive, and that create high added value, particularly in the province's Science and Technology Industrial Park. Vice Chairman Bui Minh Tri welcomed the opportunity for both sides to expand cooperation in high technology, semiconductor industry, and training of high-quality human resources to meet the province's developmental and integration needs.
