All 28 scrap business establishments in Di An stop operating

Di An city’s People's Committee said that with the purpose of changing the appearance of Di An urban area to become more civilized, modern and beautiful, the city has paid attention to environmental protection. In the first quarter of 2024, the city organized a conference to summarize environmental protection work in 2023 in association with summarizing and awarding the local campaign to create bright - green - clean, civilized streets.

The city has set up plans on classifying household solid waste at source for the period of 2024-2025, protecting the environment and responding to climate change in 2024. In addition, the city has further implemented a plan on restoring order to the local scrap business. All 28 scrap business establishments under the city's management have so far stopped operating. The city has also received and resolved 67 out of 90 complaints on land and environment; impacted administrative punishments on 37 cases of violations in the field of land and environment with a total fine of VND 262.5 million.

In the coming time, the city will further strengthen management, regularly inspect and monitor scrap business establishments that have stopped operating, changed fields or relocated to other places, to avoid re-operation in these locations while not letting new business locations arise in the area.
