Leaders of Binh Duong Customs Department said in 2019, the unit continued to follow closely the direction of the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Customs, focusing on the reform of administrative procedures, while continuing to develop Customs cooperation - enterprises, shortening the time for goods clearance for businesses etc. to complete the year plan.
In 2018, Binh Duong Customs Department collected VND 15,013 billion, an increase of 11.6% compared to 2017, exceeding the Ministry of Finance's target by 16.4%, exceeding the target of 15.5%. Provincial People's Council assigned and exceeded 6.5% of the target of the General Department of Customs. Up to now, 100% of customs procedures in the area have been implemented electronically. Last year, the unit received and processed 18,908 records of enterprises (ranked 2nd in the whole customs industry on the number of dossiers received and processed via online public services). Besides, the unit has attracted more than 6,600 enterprises, an increase of 6.43% compared to the same period in 2017; the number of declarations reached 1,529,921, an increase of 12.79%; import and export turnover reached 45.38 billion USD, up 8.7% compared to 2017.
