Over the past five years, An Thanh Credit Fund in Thuan An district’s An Thanh township made obvious changes. The total capital of the credit fund increased by 31.7%, total outstanding loan by 27.13%, total revenue by 26.39%, post-tax profit by 21.31%... The credit fund also fulfilled many other important targets. So far, it has recognized as a first-class credit fund for many consecutive years by the State Bank of Vietnam’s Binh Duong Branch.

To obtain the current results, An Thanh Credit Fund has always made efforts in well realizing its working regulations with the main goal of helping its members, not for profit, said credit fund director Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga. Noticeably, the credit fund has also been in the vanguard of giving loans on credit under mass organizations’ guarantee. It set up 611 loan-rotating groups with 6,712 members with VND43.193trillion over the past five years.
Since early 2009, has begun expanding its network by putting a transaction office in Binh Chuan commune at the local clients’ real demand. After one and a half years of operation, Binh Chuan transaction office has worked effectively with many targets seeing high growth, contributing to promoting the growth of An Thanh Credit Fund. It, as of June 2010, mobilized nearly VND16bln, reached VND14.7bln of total outstanding loans and absorbed 678 members.
Mrs.Nga said that the national economy faced difficulties between 2008 and 2009, which directly affected the banking sector, including An Thanh Credit Fund. But, with its flexible measures, An Thanh Credit Fund still maintained growth. The credit fund’s objectives in the coming time are to further develop its capital source, improv its credit quality; invest more modern equipment; diversify its banking service products at clients’ demand…
According to the assessment of provincial Alliance of Cooperatives, An Thanh Credit Fund over time realized the key objectives of a credit fund, but there were still some shortcomings for change.
