-What’s your assessment of the town’s socio-economic achievements, national defence-security in 2018?
In 2018, the town’s economy continued gaining stable growth in the right direction. The town’s State budget collection-spending and public investment management were implemented under the plan. The town also well realized fields in terms of culture, health, education and social welfare; maintained political security, social order-security; obtained positive changes in land management, construction-urban order, environmental protection…The income of the local people continued being increased.
Noticeably, the town’s economic growth was 23.5%. The proportion of industrial manufacture accounted for 78.83% of the local economic structure; services, 20.72% and agriculture, 0.45%. The average income per capita of the local people was VND114.9million per year. The town’s total production value was more than VND116.54trillion, up 18.7% compared to 2017. In 2018, the town was recognized as a third-class city and is perfecting procedures to be recognized a locality fulfilling the program on new-style rural construction.
The above results will be the major foundation for the town to successfully implement tasks of the town’s Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.
-What are the town’s major tasks for socio-economic development in 2019?
In 2019, the town will put forward solutions to complete targets on socio-economic development in the 2015-2017 tenure. The town will also take measures in a synchronous way to basically improve shortcomings, creating changes in land management, construction, urban order, administrative reform, public investment…In addition, the town will strengthen its premises for sustainable development for the next periods with focus on perfecting plans; rearranging the apparatus of the political system towards a streamlined one with efficient and effective operation along with improving the quality of cadres at requirements in the new context.
For 2019’s targets, the town will strive to achieve more than VND139.4trillion in total production value, up 19.5% compared to 2018. Of the total figure, more than VND107.6trillion came from industrial manufacture, more than VND31.1trillion from services and VND546billion from agricultural production. The town’s economic growth will be 22.8%. The town will also make efforts to reach the VND126.5million in average income per capita, more than VND2.31trillion in total State budget collection, up 12% against the province’s estimates for 2018…
-Could you tell us about a task of strengthening the apparatus of the local government to ensure the implementation of entrusted tasks?
For rearranging the apparatus of the political system towards a streamlined one with efficient and effective operation, the town’s Party Committee has put forward 5 groups of major solutions, including focusing on making dissemination of information about the policy among officials, Party members and people, thereby creating a high consensus among the entire political system. The town will also attach special importance to improving the quality of cadres.
The town will vigorously improve the assessment of cadres and Party members. Moreover, the town will continue boosting administrative reform with focus on improving working manners of units, agencies and each individual via strengthening IT application. The objective of the town will decrease 10% of the number of steering boards, 15% of the number of periodical reports and 10% of the number of meetings as of late Q1, 2019….
Besides, the town’s Party Committee has also promulgated a plan upholding the role of Fatherland Front Committee, mass organizations and people in making contributive ideas to the local Party and government in the process of rearranging the apparatus of the political system towards a streamlined one with efficient and effective operation.
