One of Dau Tieng district’s main tasks in 2018 was to implement the Government’s Resolution No.01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2018 on major solutions guiding and directing the implementation of the Plan for socio-economic development. The district also focused on realizing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction under a new set of criteria.
Production value with high growth
According to Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee, the district’s total production value in 2018 was estimated at nearly VND13.6trillion, up nearly 14% compared to 2017 or 100% of the year’s plan. Particularly, the district’s value of industrial production and construction reached approximately VND5.45trillion, up 22%. The district’s value of trade-services was more than VND4.32billion, up nearly 12% against the previous year.
Production of a company in the district
In 2018, district-based Thanh An industrial compound absorbed additional 67 enterprises, bringing the total number of enterprises operating in the district to 359. The district also actively implemented the expanded Bau Bang industrial park project in Long Tan commune and the expanded An Dien industrial park project for the phase 3.
Rubber is still a main plant of the district with a total area of 50,000 hectares. The district’s animal husbandry sector is also switching to the “farmstead” model. So far, the whole district has had a total of 205 farmsteads on animal husbandry with more than 125,000 heads of cattle and nearly 2.8million heads of poultry.
The district’s sector of trade-services has also reached positive changes. In 2018, the district granted 484 business registration certificates to individual business households with a total registered capital of nearly VND86billion. The district also successfully organized a program on “bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” and an expo on consumer goods, basically meeting the local people for shopping…
Dau Tieng township has also got animated with activities in terms of trade-services. Over the past time, the township significantly contributed to the district’s sector of trade-services.
Hit from tourism
Leaders of Dau Tieng district, in 2019, the district will continue guiding its communes to improve criteria of the new-style rural construction program for the period of 2017-2020. For 2019’s target, the district will strive to get additional 1 or 2 communes meeting advanced criteria of the program.
Although facing difficulties, the district basically fulfilled 2018’s targets on economic development. Leaders of the district said that the district will further make restructuring of the local agricultural sector; foster hi-tech models on growing fruit trees. The district will promote models on animal husbandry and promptly carry out a project on developing a specialized area on fruit trees in association with ecotourism in Thanh Tuyen commune for the period of 2016-2020…
In 2019, the district will further realize a Program on ecotourism development for the period of 2017-2020 while supporting Xuan Cau Co.Ltd. to soon implement a project on upgrading Nui Cau ecotourism site.
As oriented, the district will focus on developing hi-tech agricultural models and ecotourism, contributing to promoting the local development. It is hoped that the district will continue being flexible in development and soon fulfill the set targets in 2019 and in the next years.
