In recent years, the province’s agricultural sector has organized many activities to promote the process of plant and animal restructuring towards the development of urban and high-tech agricultural models in association with processing industry. This has contributed to increasing the local area for urban and high-tech agricultural production.
As of now, the whole province has had 172 hectares for urban agricultural production and nearly 5,550 hectares for hi-tech agricultural production. In the field of animal husbandry, there are 2,870 households getting involved in urban agricultural models with 35,330 various animals, mainly being ornamental fish, turtles, porcupines...The province’s high-tech animal husbandry models have also further developed with 147 chicken farms having over 8.4 million heads, accounting for 68% of the total herd. There are also 199 pig farms with 547,000 heads; 30 duck farms with 390,000 heads and 2 milk cow farms with 850 heads…
