With 28 industrial parks (Ips) and more than 23,000 enterprises, Binh Duong is one of the country’s industrial hubs. Experts assessed that auxiliary industry is very important in development strategies of countries around the world. Binh Duong has also made efforts in promoting auxiliary industry at the local needs for development.
Diversified evolution needed
Binh Duong’s industrial manufacture has so far obtained robust growth with diversified fields, ranging from electronics, telecommunications to woodwork processing…Hence, auxiliary industry needs to be diversified at enterprises’ needs for production.
Production at Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd.
Huynh Tan Loc, Director of Tan Loc Woodwork Equipment Supply Co.Ltd. in Thuan An town said that his company is specialized in importing machines and equipment for woodwork processing. Initially, the company mainly imported products from Japan and then continued expanding to European countries at enterprises’ increasing needs. Whilst, leader of other woodwork enterprise said that Vietnam has faced a wide gap in auxiliary industry development.
Even, the province’s traditional ceramic industry also has to need auxiliary products at clients’ taste. Vuong Sieu Tin, Director of Phuoc Vu Long Co.said that many ceramic enterprises have had to import glaze products from Japan, Taiwan, China…at requirements of clients in Europe and the U.S. Noticeably, domestic enterprises have successfully manufactured gas-fueled kilns, instead of the traditional firing ones with the selling price that is much lower than imported products. He affirmed that auxiliary industry plays an important role in fostering all industries in the province.
According to Prof.Dr.Tran Dinh Thien, Head of the Central Economic Institute, Binh Duong is aiming at becoming a huge industrial hub of the country. To do this, auxiliary industry needs to be promoted. It will help the local industrial manufacture gain sustainable-harmonious development and even auxiliary products will also bring the province great economic benefits.
Appropriate way
Auxiliary industry in Binh Duong now focuses on garment-textile, footwear, mechanism, electronics-electricity, woodwork processing. The province has also absorbed many FDI projects in auxiliary industry. For example, Far Eastern Polytex Vietnam Co.Ltd. poured US$274.2million into production of synthetic fibers at Bau Bang IP. NPC Toda Co.Ltd. also spent VND30million on manufacturing various plastic products with the annual capacity of 16,889 tons at VSIP 2A…
Hang Vay Chi, CEO of Viet Huong Joint Stock Co. said that great corporations have been interested in auxiliary industry for garment-textile. An enterprise now prepares for a US$120million project in this field at Viet Huong 2 IP. He added that making investment in auxiliary industry has recently obtained strong movement as enterprises want to wait in front for deep and wide integration with the global economy.
Provincial People’s Committee has also arranged 300 hectares of land in the Bau Bang IP for auxiliary industry development. Along this, provincial Scheme on Development Orientations for Auxiliary Industry till 2020 has been implemented from 2016…will bring enterprises in this field preferential policies.
Moreover, the Government’s Decree No.111/2015/CP-ND dated November 3, 2015 on auxiliary industry development, the State Bank of Vietnam’s Circular No.01/2016/TT-NHNN guiding the implementation of loan policy for auxiliary industry…will create favorable conditions for enterprises in this field to get access to loans for better development.
