Bac Binh Duong Vietcombank to offer positive support for small and medium enterprises

In the morning of September 25, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) Bac Binh Duong Branch held a seminar on "Financial solutions for small and medium enterprises". Attending the seminar were financial experts, banks, customs representatives, local tax representatives and representatives of nearly 100 small and medium enterprises in the area of Ben Cat town, Bau Bang district.

At the seminar, representatives of small and medium enterprises discussed with the experts the issues related to policies, procedures and conditions for enterprises to have access to preferential loans according to the Resolution Decree No. 39 / ND-CP dated March 11, 2018 detailing some articles of the Law on Support to Small and Medium Enterprises. Difficulties and obstacles faced by enterprises have been satisfactorily answered by experts; The experts also guide enterprises to complete the relevant procedures to meet the conditions of access to preferential loans.

Nguyen Xuan Giang, Director of Vietcombank in Northern Binh Duong, said the branch is serving more than 600 small and medium enterprises. However, among these, very few businesses are eligible to access loans at preferential interest rates. The reason is because many enterprises have not yet inquired or do not fully know the regulations and conditions necessary to access loans. Mr. Giang said that in the past time, small and medium enterprises using preferential loans through their branches have brought about efficiency in the production and business process. The outstanding loans of small and medium enterprises in the branch decreased by 30-40% but this is a good sign and evidence that enterprises have promoted and used capital effectively in the process of expansion. Their production and operations have been classified as wholesale business customers.
