With the determination and unity of the Party, authority, and people, Hieu Liem commune, Bac Tan Uyen district has up to now completed 100% of the criteria for building a model new rural area.
Hieu Liem is a purely agricultural commune with 4,000 hectares of agricultural land whose production is deeply rooted, with advanced technology to establish a wide range of largely specialized cultivation areas covering hundreds of hectares. As a result, the average income per capita of the commune has reached over 90 million VND per year.
Over time, the commune has mobilized numerous resources to concentrate on completing the criteria to achieve the exemplary new rural commune standard as prescribed. With contributions and support from the people and investment sources from the State, many construction items have been completed and put into effective use, such as rural concrete road traffic system, infrastructure serving culture, health, education, and working headquarters.
At the same time, the commune also promotes movements to compete in production, economic development, with focus on increasing income, protecting the environment, improving material and spiritual life of the people, preserving cultural identity, building a civilized lifestyle, renovating environmental landscapes, and ensuring security and order.
In 2023, the People's Committee of Hieu Liem commune evaluated the new model rural criteria in the production sector according to the guidance of the functional departments to affirm qualifications for the requirements. On January 15, the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district evaluated Hieu Liem commune as meeting all 3 criteria and 8 new model rural indicators in the production sector to accredit Hieu Liem as the first commune to be evaluated by the district to meet the new model rural standards.
