As part of the Bach Dang Trade Center Project in TDM city’s Phu Cuong ward, Bach Dang night market and walking street is invested by Binh Duong Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company (Bisonsi).
According to Ngo Trong Nghia, Deputy General Director of Bisonsi, Bach Dang night market and walking street will open on August 25 ahead. The birth of the night market and walking street aims to satisfy the local people’s demand for shopping and walk in a safe and clean space at night. As planned, the night market is a section specialized in trading in various clothes, fashionable accessories and other products. Being combined with a walking street, a park and a recreational section for children, it will be an attractive shopping and entertainment place for all people.
As designed, the night market will include 338 booths, including 18 for eating and drinking and the remainder for trading in various clothes, fashionable accessories and other products. Each booth is around four square meters. For drinking and eating section, each booth is around 10 square meters. All are arranged on a 7 meter-width line with the middle path of 3 square meters.
Mr.Nghia added that the birth of the project has aimed to assist Thu Dau Mot city to solve some problems at the existing night market in the area of Thu Dau Mot market. The project will give priority to receiving small traders at the existing night market. “Bach Dang nigh market and walking street will operate stably, so small traders at the night market are registered for business in accordance with the State and will enjoy support from the investor in absorbing customers”, he said.

Opening daily from 17 to 23:30 pm, the new night market is an attractive shopping place with many products, including ready-made clothes, footwear, hats, cosmetics, fashionable accessories…It also includes a culinary section with good dishes. Coming to the night market, the local people will have a chance to do shopping and enjoy good dishes in an airy space next to the Saigon riverside.
Biconsi is also expected to have a close coordination with the local functional agencies to control over the quality of goods and food hygiene and safety at the new night market. Moreover, the company’s guards will be arranged together with Phu Cuong ward’s police and militia to ensure order and security herein. The company has also petitioned the People’s Committee of Thu Dau Mot city for building bus routes to the new night market, creating favorable conditions for customers’ shopping.
