Upholding the community’s strength in new rural construction is one of localities’ important elements to successfully implement this program. Tan Uyen district’s Bach Dang commune has excelled at upholding the community’s strength in new rural construction.
Bach Dang is among Binh Duong’s 5 communes selected to successfully realize the new rural construction program by 2013. Upholding the community’s strength is seen as Bach Dang’s valuable experience in the new rural construction program.
Over the past 10 years, residents in Bach Dang commune voluntarily contributed land, money and other many assets to the new rural construction program.
Resident herein have also made efforts in taking part in the campaigns of building up a cultural lifestyle in hamlets and quarters, maintaining social order and security…Binh Hung and Dien Hoa hamlets were sorted out as pilot localities to execute the campaigns and then they have been replicated to other localities in the commune.
The local mass organizations have been assigned the task of implementing the new rural construction program in each hamlet. Particularly, the Fatherland Front Committee focused on mobilizing residents to build a cultural lifestyle and maintain social order & security; the Farmers’Society was responsible for improving the operational quality of cooperative groups, developing pomelo orchards and producing safe vegetables; the Women’s Union actively built and improved the quality of the “Green house” club; the Youth Union engaged in activities of environmental protection; the Red Cross Society promoted the “Charity rice jar” program…
After two-year implementation, the above campaigns brought positive results. The whole commune installed 225 street lamps, built 2 cooperative groups, 1 “Taichi” club; 1 “Green house” club…
Regarding the results from upholding the community’s strength in the new rural construction program, Bach Dang communal People’s Committee Chairman Pham Van Hoang said that contributions by the local authorities and people to the program has created a new rural image for Bach Dang. Bach Dang has so far fulfilled 13 out of 19 criteria on new rural construction. By the end of 2012, Bach Dang will strive to achieve additional one or two criteria and the remainders will be fulfilled by 2013.
Mr.Hoang added: “We will further mobilize the community’s strength in realizing the new rural construction program. This is a firm foundation for Bach Dang to successfully implement the rural new construction program as planned”.
