Banks orient to remote areas

Many commercial banks have chosen to extend operation to remote areas in new attempts of expansion. Activities of credit institutions have greatly contributed to common economic achievements of the province. More branches and offices are opened to facilitate loans and capital however imbalanced the race has been.

Finance and credit market in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Ben Cat is potential to banks.

Statistics show that prioritization of banks and credit institutions to open and extend the network are not evenly distributed to localities such as Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng, and Phu Giao comparing to Di an, Ben Cat, Thu Dau Mot.

Director Bui Van Nu of Agriculture and Rural Development - Binh Duong Branch has assessed that credit institutions have satisfied banking needs of enterprises and the community but failed to reach to other places.

Department of Industry and Trade has also ranked Dau Tieng, Ben Cat, Phu Giao, and Tan Uyen as developing districts. And thus, BIDV, Sacombank and smaller commercial banks have rushed in to dominate the banking market.

In only 3 years operating in Binh Duong, Saigon Hanoi Bank (SHB) has established 5 transaction offices in Thu Dau Mot, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Phuoc Vinh, Song Than, and My Phuoc. Meanwhile, Seabank, VPBank, Saigon Bank, Nâm Bank, and MB are planning to open more offices in such a potential finance market.

Director Nguyen Thanh Tung of Gia Dinh JSC Bank confirmed that reaching to remote areas can not be forgotten.
