Bau Bang district was established and officially worked from April 1, 2014. With the efforts of the entire political system, from an agricultural district, Bau Bang has so far begun reaching development with the image of a big industrial-urban hub, especially absorbed investment projects with great capital.
FDI capital surpassing US$2.1billion
Along with the province’s policies calling for investment, Bau Bang district has coordinated with Becamex IDC, the investor of the Bau Bang industrial-urban zone to realize a variety of programs and plans to attract investment projects.

The whole district has to date lured 418 domestic investment projects capitalized at more than VND24.9trillion and 82 FDI ones totaling more than US$2.11million. Among them, some with great capital include the 99-hectare project of Taiwan’s Polytex Far Eastern Co.Ltd. with total investment capital of more than US$274million…
Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that over the past three years, the district attracted 248 domestic investment projects worth more than VND10.44trillion and 32 FDI ones valued at more than US$1.38billion. Signing memoranda of understanding on investment cooperation between the district and partners has also demonstrated the local potential in investment attraction. Particularly, Becamex IDC and TTP Investment Company signed a deal to establish a U.S-Vietnam industrial park in the district. A cooperation agreement to build a bicycle production cluster with total initial investment capital of nearly US$250million in the district was also signed between representatives from Taiwan’s Active International Vietnam Co., Ltd and Becamex IDC…
Together with expanding the Bau Bang urban-industrial zone by 1,000 hectares, bringing its total area to more than 3,200 hectares, the district has planned to further develop another 1,300 hectares of industrial land in Lai Hung and Cay Truong communes under the plan of adjustment of the province’s industrial parks till 2020 approved by Prime Minister. The district is submitting its plan expanding the Tan Binh industrial park by 1,055 hectares to higher authorities for approval.
Acceleration of urban and industrial development
To victoriously realize a goal of becoming an urban-industrial hub in the northern region of the province under the resolution of the local Party congress, Bau Bang district has promoted clean industries and auxiliary ones with high technologies while building up an open investment climate to absorb more investors. The district has also given priority to large-scale projects in line with the local development plan; restricted the development of projects outside industrial compounds and parks.
Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee affirmed that the district has boosted urban and industrial development based on overall plans on socio-economic development of the province and the southern key economic zone. Particularly, from now till 2020, the district’s industrial production will reach the annual growth of 20%. The district will also bend on perfecting infrastructure at industrial parks and make synchronous investment in production, services and housing inside and outside industrial parks.
Such these apart, the district has perfected the local traffic infrastructure system connecting with other localities; continued investing in social infrastructure facilities to meet the local rapid urban-industrial development like hospitals, cultural centers, schools, social houses…
