Over the past time, Bau Bang district absorbed many investment projects, including ones with great capital amounting to hundreds of million of USD. Along with the province’s policies, this success came from the efforts by the district in creating the best conditions for investor to work.
Absorbing large-scale projects
Defining industrial production towards multipurpose and environmentally friendly development, Bau Bang over the past time made efforts to create an open investment climate in association with effectively realizing administrative reform. Upon this, many investors selected the locality for making their projects. The whole district as of late 2017 lured 601 projects with a total registered capital of more than US$2.33billion and nearly VND24.97trillion.

Nguyen Huu Tri, Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee said that the district was flexible in reforming administrative procedures, aiming to absorb more investment projects. This helped the local investment climate be highly appreciated by investors with the birth of new projects and extra-ones. For example, Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co.Ltd., Paihong Vietnam Co.Ltd., Huge Bamboo Textile Industrial Co.Ltd…in the district raised their investment capital to US$760million, US$108.8million, US$40million, respectively.
Park Dong Moon, CEO of South Korea’s Kolon Industries Corporation said that after two years of learning about Vietnam’s investment climate, the corporation decided to sort out Bau Bang for implementing its project as the locality is able to well meet requirements of the corporation.
Fully-done infrastructure system
Till now, Bau Bang district has developed a perfect infrastructure system with focus on traffic network connecting with other localities under the North-South, East-West road axes and urban traffic system. The district has also paid attention to social infrastructure construction at the local fast industrial-urban development.
Lec Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee affirmed that the district has absolutely handled unsolved cases in the Bau Bang Urban-Industrial Park; quickly completed compensation and site clearance for the projects of the My Phuoc-Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen-Phu Giao-Bau Bang main streets…while ensuring power supply for production-business activities. All aim to promote investment into district-based industrial parks.
In a bid to create land fund for investors, along with expanding the Bau Bang Urban-Industrial Park by 1,000 hectares, the district has planned to develop additional 1,300 hectares of industrial land in two communes of Lai Hung and Cay Truong under the province’s plan on adjustment of industrial parks development approved by the Prime Minister; realized a plan on expanding Tan Binh Industrial Park by 1,055 hectares in two communes of Tan Hung and Hung Hoa.
