With the aim of removing obstacles of farm-holders as well as disseminating new policies accommodating farm development, morning May 6, Bau Bang district People’s Committee held a get-together with farm-holders in the district (photo). Mr. Tran Van Thay, Chairman of Binh Duong Cooperative Alliance, attended the meeting.
As of the end of 2015, the district had 267 farms, including 124 pig farms, 99 chicken farms and 44 cultivation farms. Total area of farms was 580.5ha, including 35.7ha for animal husbandry and 544.8ha for cultivation. Along with other economic sectors, the farming economy has contributed to the overall value of agricultural production towards cultivation decrease and livestock increase corresponding to 38% cultivation, 61.1% livestock, 0.9% agricultural services. In 2015, total agricultural production value of the district achieved VND1,698.9 billion, up 6.41%, the average yield value reached VND64.5 million/ha/year.
Implementing agricultural development orientations towards urban agriculture and high-tech agriculture, in 2016, Bau Bang district will develop the farming economy towards goods production, improving production values and product quality to enhance competitiveness in the market; develop the farming economy combined with new rural construction, turn the farming economy into a breakthrough in agricultural development.
