After 4 years of establishment, Bau Bang district has been developed in accordance with the goal of the district’s Party Committee congress for the 2015-2020 tenure: “Intensifying the cause of industrialization and modernization, developing Bau Bang into a district with comprehensive development in order to soon become an industrial-urban hub of Binh Duong”.
Planning task well realized
Under the adjustment of the province’s overall socio-economic development plan till 2020, planning supplement to 2025 with focus on industrial development in the northern region, Bau Bang district has set its overall socio-economic development plan to 2025. Accordingly, the district will concentrate on perfecting infrastructure facilities of industrial parks and traffic systems connecting with other localities through the North-South and East-West axis…
Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of the district’s Party Committee said that since being established, the district has absorbed more domestic and foreign investors. The district has also paid attention to promoting banking and social infrastructure fields…, thereby creating consensus in the local development at investors and people’s demand.
Over the past four years, the district’s economic structure was shifted in the right direction. With the goal of soon becoming an urban-industrial center in the northern region of the province under the spirit of the Resolution of the local Party Committee congress, the district has always improved the local investment climate to absorb more investors. As a result, the whole district has so far attracted 616 investment projects, comprising of 519 domestic projects capitalized over VND25.04trillion and 97 FDI ones with a total registered capital of over US$2.4trillion. In Q1, 2018 alone, the district attracted additional 15 newly-registered projects totaling US$88.1million and VND40.3billion, 7 extra-ones with US$15million and VND31.1billion.
Urban-industrial development accelerated
Along with the province’s investment attraction measures, Bau Bang district has strengthened administrative reform, helping absorb more projects with great capital and capital increasing ones. For example, Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co.Ltd. raised its investment capital to US$760million with a total area expanded to 219 hectares. Yacht Vietnam Co.Ltd. also poured additional US$5million into production-business while Paihong Vietnam Co.Ltd. adjusted its investment capital to US$108.8million…
The district has also paid attention to trade-services. Since being established, there has been no scarcity on goods reported in the district. The prices of essential commodities in the district have been very stable at people’s demand. The district has regularly coordinated with Co.opmart supermarket chain to organize programs selling goods with stabilized prices…For agricultural field, the district’s plant structure is very diverse with vigorous development in terms of hi-tech agricultural models. The whole district now has a total of 12 animal husbandry and cultivation facilities with VietGAP certifications…
The above results will be the foundation for the district to soon fulfill the goal of becoming an urban-industrial hub in the northern region of the province. Mr.Chi said that the district will accelerate the local urban-industrial development in the coming time. Accordingly, the district will strive to reach a 20% growth in terms of industrial production value; bend on perfecting infrastructure facilities of industrial parks…
