He pointed out the district’s advantages, comprising of well-built industrial park infrastructure, a favorable traffic system..., which was seen as a premise for the local economic structure shift with industrial manufacture playing a decisive play.
Industry with high growth
According to provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Nguyen Van Minh, Bau Bang district has set a target of reaching 2014’s growth at 13.5%. And the district has made efforts to achieve this target.
The district’s total production value in the first half of the year achieved VND6.505trillion or 55.23% of the year’s plan. Of these, industrial production value was estimated at over VND3.642trillion. Trade-services reached VND1.764trillion while agricultural production obtained more than VND1.098trillion.

Upon achievements done, Bau Bang district will strive to gain VND6.421trillion in industrial production, VND3,054trillion in trade-services, VND2.328trillion in agricultural production in 2014. The local economic structure will also shift towards the growth of industry, trade-services and agriculture with the respective proportion of 54%-26% and 20%.
So far, the district has absorbed 230 projects, including 198 domestic projects with a total registered capital of VND1.334trillion and 32 FDI ones with a total registered capital of more than US$206mln. The district is now home to Bau Bang industrial and urban park with 2,166 hectares in total that is very effective in investment attraction…
Advantages
As a district just being established, Bau Bang has been zoned towards industrial development in association with urban development that will be closely linked with urban areas of the province and the southern key economic zone. Hence, there are a lot of advantages for industrial development. Bau Bang industrial and urban park has a convenient transport location which is located nearby National Highway No. 13 - the important trading gateway between the South-Eastern region and the Central Highlands provinces.
Along with the above advantages, Bau Bang district’s industrial manufacture in the coming time will have more motivations for evolution when Binh Duong is focusing on infrastructure development for the new district so that it is able to catch up with the province’s industrial development momentum.
According to Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of Becamex IDC, the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway is being forwarded to connect with Bau Bang district. This will further create a driving force for the district to get better development.
Also in Bau Bang district, waiting in front for investment opportunities from the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP) is taking place advantageously. The province has zoned and built a specialized area for auxiliary industries in Bau Bang industrial and urban park. This place will also absorb more new FDI projects…
To Mr.Cung, Bau Bang district now has a lot of potentials and advantages for industrial, service and urban development. With the current advantages, the district’s economic development will reach a robust development in the coming time.
It is known that Bau Bang district is now home to 3,899 individual business households. The district has so far built a coach station with 15 buses to the Mekong Delta and northern regions. There are also bus trips to the center of the district’s communes. The district has also built 3 out of 7 rural markets under the formula of socialization.
Regarding agricultural agriculture, the district now has a total of 25,184 hectares of perennial trees, 109 pigs-breeding farmsteads, 114 poultry–breeding farmsteads, 8 households getting involved in aquaculture…
