Strong changes
Bau Bang is home to industrial parks together with Binh Duong province’s outstanding farms.
The district reached VND11.854bln in total production value after one-year establishment. Noticeably, industrial manufacture now plays an important role in the local economic development. It accounts for 54.4% of the local economic structure. Last year, its total value was estimated at VND6.447trillion.
The land tenancy ratio of Bau Bang industrial park has so far reached 30%. The district has also asked for the Government to approve a project expanding additional 1,000 hectares for the industrial park.
Possibly speaking, Bau Bang has made strong changes from an agricultural district with economic development mainly depending on rubber growing and animal husbandry on contract to an industrial district. The district has so far absorbed 259 domestic and FDI projects; reached a robust growth in terms of trade-services with 2014’s total value estimated at VND3.092trillion.
One of Bau Bang district’s advantages is high consensus among the local people. The district has also received appropriate attention and investment from the province.
With their heroic tradition, residents in Bau Bang have joined hands to promote the local development. Also thanks to provincial leaders’ attention, the district has mobilized all resources for basic construction, thereby forming up well-built infrastructure, helping open opportunities for trade with other localities.
Building up a prosperous and beautiful homeland
According to the local elderly people, Bau Bang district’s current development is an exploit. This has come from the district’s right policy in line with the heart of the local people, helping them join hands to build up an industrial locality.
Moreover, the district’s biggest success is the effort in administrative reform, winning enterprises’ faith and reaching high consensus among the local people towards a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
Bau Bang industrial and urban park with 2,166 hectares in total is now ready to welcome investors. Many streets have also been invested in a logical way, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and locals’ trade and traveling.
As planned till 2020, the district’s economic structure will be 76.7% in industry, 16.3% in trade-services and 7% in agriculture. The average income per capita of the local people will be VND50mln a year.
So far, Bau Bang has seen a robust growth. The local agricultural and rural fields have also got thriving. From now till 2020, Bau Bang will basically fulfill the National Target Program on New Rural Construction and become one of the province’s industrial districts.
