Under the project implemented by Phuong Nam Construction And Architectural Urban Planning Design Consultant Co.Ltd., Bau Bang will become a political-economic and cultural hub of the new district in the northern region of Ben Cat. With the Bau Bang industrial park (IP) as a highlight plus harmony on natural conditions, Bau Bang urban area will be developed in accordance with industrial and ecological trend.

Bau Bang belongs to Lai Uyen commune
in the northern region of Ben Cat district and it is also about 35km from TDM
city, 90km from HCM city and 70 km from Cambodia’s Hoa Lu border gate,
along with the Tan Van-My Phuoc expressway, a key transport project of Binh
Duong and many other advantages on traffic system. These factors will facilitate
industrial development, making a highlight in the process of urbanizing Bau
Bang.

In fact, Ben Cat in general and Bau Bang in particular have created fast changes, due to Binh Duong’s industrialization process implemented strongly. Noticeably, the Bau Bang IP of phase 1 with 1,000 hectares will reach 60% of the land tenancy ratio by 2020 and it will be fully covered by 2030. The IP will also absorb around 85,000 or 90,000 laborers for the phase 1.
In addition to the Bau Bang IP, Bau Bang is now also home to many other enterprises, bringing its total area for industrial manufacture to 1,135 hectares. With such industrial foundation, urbanization is indispensable to the land. The development of the Bau Bang IP will be a vital element for the urbanization process of Bau Bang.
To ecological urban area
Bau Bang’s industrialization process now gets animated with many residential and urban estate projects developed, especially there are six residential estates in the Bau Bang urban-service and industrial complex invested by Becamex IDC.
Also in the complex, Becamex IDC has developed additional two residential estates in the northern region and the Hoang Gia urban and residential estate project is also under construction. This will be a premise for Bau Bang to promote its urbanization along with industrialization process.
Bau Bang is now surrounded by a lot of streams and it also includes two reservoirs, namely Tu Van 1 and Tu Van 2. With such ideal natural conditions, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Van Nam has required the consultant unit of the project to research and develop the Bau Bang urban area under the modern model, but there are still elements of an ecological urban area.
