Bau Bang district’s economic targets surpassed the year’s growth plan of 2%-3%. Particularly, the district’s industrial production value was estimated at VND11.42trillion, up 17.99% compared to 2016. The district is also one of localities making great contributions to the result of the province’s investment attraction. In 2017, the district absorbed 110 newly-registered projects with more than US$330.1million and more than VND403.7billion, including FDI ones. The whole district has to date had a total of 582 projects with a total registered capital of more than US$2.31billion and more than VND24.88trillion. Also in 2017, the district lured additional 636 capital increasing projects with more than US$636million and VND10.3billion.
Along with strengthening investment attraction, the district attached special importance to State budget collection. The district’s State budget collection in 2017 was estimated at more than VND750.15billion or 147.28% of the province’s plan. Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that the result came from the integral efforts by the local sectors and authorities at all levels.
Investment promotion
Bau Bang district has set a lot of breakthrough solutions to fulfill targets of the Party Committees of the province and district in the period of 2015-2020. With the goal of becoming an industrial-urban hub in the northern region of the province, the district will focus on investment promotion into industrial parks; fulfill compensation and site clearance in order to implement the My Phuoc-Bau Bang street, the expanded Bau Bang Urban-Industrial Park and many other works on schedule, contributing to absorbing more investors.
Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of the district’s Party Committee stressed that in 2018, the district will mobilize resources to promote services. Particularly, the district will implement steps to develop the local recreational sector for the period of 2017-2020 and vision to 2030. The district will also intensify basic construction, especially for key works at the local needs for socio-economic development.
According to leaders of the district, in 2017, the district’s capital disbursement for basic construction met with difficulties. Hence, the district will strengthen State administration in construction investment while well realizing inspection and supervision, improve shortcomings in order to enhancing efficiency in public investment management…
