2018 is seen as the important year of the 2015-2020 period, so Bau Bang district has put forward “breakthrough” solutions to fulfill the set targets. In the first half of 2018, the district’s economic targets reached higher growth than the same period of 2017.
Surpassing the set targets
To improve management work, flexibly implement instruction documents of the Government and provincial People’s Committee, Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee has set programs, plans on economic development and reached high results compared to the same period of last year.

Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said with the efforts by the local sectors and authorities at all levels, the district has gained stable socio-economic development. Particularly, the district’s industrial production value in the first half of 2018 was estimated at more than VND4.39trillion, a year-on-year increase of 16.75%.
The district’s total retail sales of commodities and services also reached more than VND1.89trillion, up 23.19% compared to the same period of 2017. The district’s agricultural production value was estimated at VND 940.8billion, up 5.38% against the corresponding period of last year.
In addition, the district absorbed additional 62 investment projects, including 50 domestic projects capitalized at VND379.4billion and 12 FDI ones totaling US$99.79million. There were also additional 13 capital increasing projects with VND73.2billion and US$21milion. Thus, the district has so far attracted 663 investment projects with a total registered capital of more than US$2.54million and more than VND25.42million.
Synchronous solutions implemented
To gain and exceed 2018’s targets, along with reforming administrative procedures and answering queries by investors within competence, the district will promote investment into existing industrial parks (Ips) and coordinate with relevant units make construction of the Ips that have completed investment procedures…in the remaining six months of the year.
Mr.Tri said that the district has absolutely dealt with unfinished investment cases in the Bau Bang Urban-Industrial Park; quickly made compensation-site clearance for construction of the My Phuoc-Bau Bang main street, the North Tan Uyen-Phu Giao-Bau Bang main street…while ensuring sufficient supply of power for the local production and business activities.
The district will also mobilize resources to make investment in services; further consider, support hi-tech agricultural models and strengthen a task of ensuring disease-free cattle and poultry zones.
As planned in 2018, the district’s industrial production value will grow by 19%-20%. The district’s trade services will surge 23%-24% while agricultural production will achieve a growth of 5%-6%. The district’s total State collection will reach more than VND721.4billion…
