Be flexible to adapt, the economy prospers again

Due to the good control of the pandemic, the economy has gradually opened up, and production business activities are gradually stabilized in the "new normal" state. The province's socio-economic situation in the latest 2 months has seen prosperity and optimistic changes.

In the latest two months, Binh Duong has entered a new phase of "safe and flexible adaption, effective control of the Covid-19". The province continues to take measures to both prevent and control the disease, recover socio-economic development, continue to solve difficulties, maintain production and business activities of enterprises, speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of public investment capital 2021…

In order to best accomplish the goals set out in the Covid-19 context, Binh Duong has been conducting many solutions. Prominently, the province directed departments, branches and localities to hold many conferences, dialogues to listen to difficulties and problems of businesses and investors. The the authorities could find ways to promptly solve these, create synergy, unleash many resources, step by step help the province's economy prosper. The province established a working group to assist enterprises, directly survey, grasp the actual situation, remove difficulties in production recovery of enterprises in the "new normal" condition. Currently, the province has more than 4,500 manufacturing enterprises that registered to operate under models such as "three-on-site", "one-road, two-location", "three-green" and "flexible three-on-site", with more than 700,000 workers; 96% of enterprises in industrial zones have resumed operation. The province continues to implement policies to support affected people; monitor and grasp the labor situation as enterprises resume production activities.

According to Nguyen Phuoc Viet Dung, Director of the Provincial Customs Department, in order to grasp the operation situation, promptly encourage and share difficulties, take measures to actively support import and export activities, the Provincial Customs Department has closely monitored the operation situation, revenue and budget contribution to the state budget of enterprises; assist businesses to quickly clear goods, refund tax in time, facilitate reinvestment in production and business activities. The Provincial Customs Department also organizes many conferences to meet and work with businesses in the area.

Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said, due to the drastic and flexible measures of the province, in the latest two months, socio-economic sectors have developed again. As a result, some growth targets of the province are still maintained and guaranteed according to the growth scenario. That is a remarkable result, demonstrates the efforts and consensus of the whole political system, people of all classes and business community.

Growth impetus

While the Covid-19 still badly affects all aspects of socio-economic areas, as returning to the normal state, industrial production of the province has gradually recovered and regained its growth momentum. The industrial production index in October 2021 is estimated to increase by 9.8% compared to the previous month and 3.5% over the same period in 2020, accumulated in 10 months, the industrial production index increased by 3.2% compared to the same period in 2020.

Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that the department cooperated with other departments and agencies to create favorable conditions and support enterprises to develop production and business. In addition to the high efforts of enterprises in recovering production after the Covid-19 outbreak, industrial production has grown again, making a positive contribution to the overall growth of the province.

According to Ho Minh Quang, Chairman of Directors Board of Ton Nam Kim Company, in order to sustain production activities, many expenses of enterprises have increased such as costs for "three-on-site" production, transportation, testing… The company's revenue in the third quarter of 2021 decreased compared to the same period in 2020. However, starting from the fourth quarter, the company received more large orders. The company has set a goal to speed up production to ensure growth.

Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that good control of the pandemic is the "key" to regaining economic growth. In order to preserve and promote the good results, the most basic problem today is to perform two tasks at the same time, both effectively preventing and fighting the disease, while recovering and developing production and business. Departments, branches and localities continue to research, develop solutions and creative ways to recover and develop socio-economic in safe and flexible adaptation conditions.
