Early July 22, the National Assembly Supervision Delegation’s task force No.3, led by Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Office of the National Assembly, had a working session with provincial People's Committee about the implementation of policies and laws on thrift practice and wastefulness prevention for the 2016-2021 period.
Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee together with leaders of departments, sectors and localities received the delegation.
Over the past time, the work of directing, administering and promulgating thrift practice and wastefulness prevention programs was actively implemented by the province. Particularly, the province attached special importance to the effective use of the State budget; strictly managed revenue sources with contents for spending reduced, prioritized resources for important tasks. The province's thrift practice and wastefulness prevention for the 2016-2021 period reached many changes. The management of the use of assets and funds from the State budget was basically implemented as stipulated. The province was also proactive to reduce unnecessary activities, integrate related activities, increase information technology application, allocate and use financial, labor and material resources...
Mr. Cuong highly appreciated the efforts by the province in thrift practice and wastefulness prevention. The province needs to have targets and mechanisms for the implementation of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention in each unit; strengthen inspection and supervision over thrift practice and wastefulness prevention; have solutions to disburse public investment capital in order to put works into use effectively, pay attention to and direct the implementation of projects that are still slow; carry out radical solutions for suspended and slow projects... Regarding the proposals by the province, the delegation will have a report for proposals to the National Assembly.
