Effectively taking measures
Under the Resolution of the local 11th Party Congress, Ben Cat town’s overall targets on socio-economic development are to further maintain a stable and high economic growth rate; effectively tap resources for investment and development; simultaneously speed up the local urbanization process. The town will strive to become a district under Binh Duong city by 2020; reach a five-year average economic growth of 21%-23%; gained 78% of industrial manufacture, 21.5% of services and 0.5% of agricultural production in the local economic structure. The average income per capita in the town will be more than VND128mln per year…
Nguyen Hong Khanh, Secretary of Ben Cat town’s Party Committee said that in 2015, the town reached an economic growth rate of 19.9% with economic structure further shifting in the right direction and absorbed many domestic and foreign-invested projects. The town also fulfilled its targets on basic construction while spending and expenditure situation surpassed the set plan. To fulfill 2016’s targets on socio-economic development and create a momentum for implementation of the five-year socio-economic development plan from 2015 to 2020, the town has taken measures to maintain a high and stable economic growth rate.
Making efforts right from the beginning of the tenure
In the next five years, in terms of industrial manufacture, Ben Cat town will continue carrying out preferential policies for businesses while creating advantageous conditions for investors to implement their projects that belong to the local incentive list for investment, restricting industries that use many laborers and have a risk causing environmental pollution at maximum level.
Regarding trade-services, the town will concentrate on quickly solving cases asking for the grant of business registration certificates; brace up economic sectors to get involved in activities of the local trade and services. The town will also restore order in trade activities, contributing to ensuring the local traffic safety, order-security and food safety-hygiene. According to leaders of Ben Cat town, with specific targets, tasks set in the Resolution of the town’s Party Congress for 2015-2020 tenure, people from all strata and businesses in the town are making efforts in production-business to fulfill plans, contributing to building up a more prosperous locality.
In 2016, the town will strive to reach more than VND82.12trillion in total production value, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%; gain the average income per capita of VND75.7million; collect more than VND1trillion in State budget, a year-on-year increase of 12.34%. Industrial manufacture will account for 82.33% of the local economic structure; services, 17.7% and agricultural production, 0.55%.
