Destination for investors
With the above-mentioned advantages, Ben Cat town has lured a lot of foreign investors. Among them, there is the South Korean-invested Food Orion VinaCo.Ltd. with total investment capital of US$60mlm in the My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park (IP). So far, the company’s products have been present in 48 countries worldwide with the annual average revenue of US$20mln and the average income of workers reaching VND7mln per capita per month. Many other effective projects in the town include the South Korean-invested Kumho Asiana tyre factory capitalized at more than US$360mln; Huge Bamboo Textile Co.Ltd.; Kaiser Vietnam Woodwork Industry Co.Ltd. with total investment capital of US$40mln…Especially, provincial People’s Committee has just granted an investment certificate to Cheng Loong Binh Duong Co.Ltd. to build its paper-making factory of 75 hectares with total investmnt capital of US$1bln in the Singapore Ascendas Protrade IP in An Tay commune …
During its industrial development process under the province’s overall strategy, Ben Cat town has put focus on building Ips as the foundation for the local breakthrough. Town-based Ips have been built with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, connecting with HCM city and other localities in the southern key economic zone through main streets like highway 13, DT744… Streets like the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, the trans-Asia highway, the inter-regional belt road…have also become a major bridge, facilitating the local goods transportation to air ports, sea ports in the region…
To absorb more foreign and domestic investors, the town has attached special importance to administrative reform towards an open investment climate while coordinating with Investment-Industrial Development Corp. (Becamex IDC) to create a clean land fund for investors to be able to soon implement their projects. The town has also paid more attention to social welfare issues and mobilized all economic sectors to take part in building up a civilized and modern urban image.

Nguyen Hong Khanh, Secretary of Ben Cat town’s Party Committee said that in order to lure more investors, the town has teamed up with Becamex IDC, Dau Tieng Rubber Corp…to make plans on promoting investment and realizing preferential policies for enterprises. The town will also create advantageous conditions for investors in fields belonging to the province’s priority list for investment…
Mr.Khanh added that in terms of industrial manufacture, the town has aimed at in-depth development to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the local industrial products; promoted auxiliary and hi-tech industries…The town’s effective investment attraction has greatly contributed to improving the local production value, job creation, revenue…All have make up a motivation for the town to boost the local urban, trade-services development and raise locals’ lives.
The town is now home to 10 industrial parks and compounds with more than 3,200 hectares in total. Last year, the town lured 248 investment projects, comprising of 209 domestic-invested projects with total registered capital of more than VND599bln and 39 foreign-invested ones totaling more than US$559.5mln. The town has so far attracted 1,339 domestic-invested projects capitalized at over VND14.58bln and 446 foreign-invested ones with total registered capital of nearly US$4.3bln.
